1. Who is running this
1.1 This giveaway is run by Lapwing Labs Ltd (company number 17011251), Cornsclose, Aish Lane, South Brent, Devon, TQ10 9JF, trading as Birdex. In these rules, "we" and "us" mean Lapwing Labs Ltd.
1.2 Green Feathers supplies the prize. They are our prize partner. The giveaway itself is run by us, and any question about it should come to us at birdexapp@gmail.com.
1.3 These rules apply alongside the Birdex Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If these rules and the Terms of Service disagree about the giveaway, these rules win.
2. Who can enter
2.1 You can enter if you are aged 18 or over, resident in the United Kingdom, and have a Birdex account.
2.2 You cannot enter or win if you work for Lapwing Labs Ltd or Green Feathers, or if you are an immediate family member of, or live in the same household as, someone who does.
2.3 One person, one account. If we find that someone has used more than one account to earn entries, we may remove all of their entries.
2.4 Before we send a prize we will ask the winner to confirm they are 18 or over and to give a UK delivery address. If they cannot, we will draw again as described in clause 6.4.
3. How to enter
3.1 Play Bird Blitz. Every solo round you finish with a score of 800 or more gives you one entry into the draw.
3.2 Bird Blitz shows you five bird photographs, each with four names to choose from. You score points for naming a bird correctly, and more points the faster you answer. There is no time limit on any question. The on-screen timer counts down the speed bonus only; a correct answer always scores, however long you take.
3.3 Entry is free. Every Birdex account can play Bird Blitz at no cost. You never pay to enter this giveaway, and there is no way to buy entries.
3.4 How many rounds you get each day. Free players get 3 solo rounds a day. Birdex Pro members get 10 solo rounds a day. Pro members can therefore earn more entries over the giveaway. Birdex Pro is an ordinary subscription for app features, sold at its usual price, and it is not sold as a way to enter this giveaway. Every entry has exactly the same chance of winning, whoever earned it and however they earned it.
3.5 There is no limit on the total number of entries you can earn.
3.6 Only solo Bird Blitz rounds count. Battle rounds and other games in the app do not earn entries.
3.7 Rounds our systems flag as invalid do not count. Nor do rounds completed using any automated tool, or in any way that breaks the Birdex Terms of Service. We may remove such entries from the draw.
3.8 Entries are counted automatically as you play. There is nothing else to fill in, and there is no postal or other alternative route, because entry is already free for everyone.
3.9 The giveaway opens on Thursday 17 September 2026 and closes on Saturday 17 October 2026 at 23:59 UK time. Only rounds finished between those times count. We will not move the closing date.
3.10 If you delete your Birdex account, your entries are removed with it and you can no longer win.
4. The prize
4.1 One winner will receive the Green Feathers Camera Compatible Wooden Bird Feeder Starter Pack, worth £182. The pack contains a wooden bird feeder made from sustainably sourced wood and a Green Feathers WiFi HD camera, so the winner can watch birds feeding on a phone or tablet. Green Feathers supply the prize. View the product details.
4.2 There is one winner and one prize.
4.3 There is no cash alternative. The prize cannot be exchanged or transferred to anyone else.
4.4 If the prize becomes unavailable for a reason outside our control, we will provide a substitute of the same or greater value.
4.5 The prize will be delivered to a UK address, including Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands and Islands. Delivery is free. You will never be asked to pay anything to receive the prize.
4.6 We will get the prize to the winner within 30 days of them confirming their delivery address and eligibility.
5. How we pick the winner
5.1 After the giveaway closes we will select one winner at random from all valid entries, using a computer process that produces verifiably random results.
5.2 We keep a record of the entries and of the random selection, so that we can show a valid award took place. Anyone can ask us for confirmation that the draw happened properly by emailing birdexapp@gmail.com.
5.3 The draw is final and we will not enter into correspondence about it.
5.4 We will only withhold a prize from someone drawn as a winner if they have not met the rules set out here.
6. Telling the winner
6.1 We will contact the winner within 5 working days of the draw, using the notifications and the email address on their Birdex account. We will try more than once.
6.2 The winner has 14 days to reply with a UK delivery address and to confirm they meet clause 2.
6.3 If we cannot reach the winner, or they do not reply within 14 days, or they turn out not to be eligible, we may pass the prize to the next entry in the order recorded at the time of the draw.
6.4 We drew a reserve order at the same time as the winner, using the same random process. We use that order rather than running a fresh draw, so that nobody's chance changes after the fact.
7. Publishing the result
7.1 We will publish the winner's surname and county in the app and on our social channels, so that entrants can see the giveaway was genuine.
7.2 If you would rather we published less than that, or nothing at all, email birdexapp@gmail.com and we will respect it. We must still give the information to the Advertising Standards Authority if they ask us to prove a valid award took place.
7.3 We may ask a winner whether they would like to be named or featured in follow-up posts about the giveaway. You are free to say no, and saying no makes no difference to your prize.
8. Your information
8.1 We use the information already on your Birdex account to count your entries, run the draw and contact you if you win. We do this in order to run this giveaway under these rules, and because we have a legitimate interest in running it properly and being able to show it was fair.
8.2 Green Feathers receive totals only, such as how many entries were earned and how many people took part. They never receive your name, your email address or anything else that identifies you.
8.3 If you win, we give Green Feathers your name and delivery address, so they can send the prize. They may use it for that and nothing else, and they delete it afterwards.
8.4 Entering does not sign you up to any marketing, from us or from Green Feathers.
8.5 We keep entry and draw records until the prize has been awarded and for 6 months after that, so we can answer any question about how the draw was run.
8.6 Our Privacy Policy explains your rights over your information, including your right to object to us using it in this way.
9. If something goes wrong
9.1 We are responsible for running this giveaway. If something goes wrong, email birdexapp@gmail.com and we will deal with it.
9.2 We will not change the closing date, and we will not change these rules once the giveaway has opened, other than to correct an obvious mistake.
9.3 We may cancel or change the giveaway if we genuinely have to for reasons outside our control. If that happens we will not disadvantage anyone who has already entered, and we will say so in the app.
9.4 We are not responsible for entries that fail to register because of a problem with your device or internet connection.
9.5 Nothing in these rules limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Your rights as a consumer are not affected.
9.6 These rules are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
10. Not connected with these companies
10.1 This giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Apple, Google, Meta, Instagram, TikTok or Discord. Apple is not a sponsor of this giveaway and is not involved in it in any way.
10.2 By entering, you release each of those companies from any liability connected with this giveaway.
10.3 Bird Blitz and this giveaway are run by Birdex. Green Feathers supply the prize.
